My brother has one of these. We went on a five day backpacking trip with it, and it worked out pretty good. Try to keep it dry, because if water gets in the top, it'll be hard to light, and will flare. We used White Gas, which worked excellent in the stove, allowing excellent simmer capability.

After we got back from the trip, we were curious to see how well Kerosene would work in the stove. We switched to the Kerosene generator, and poured some Kerosene in the tank. Results: The stove will run on Kerosene, but only burned clean at full blast. The flame will turn yellow, and sooty at any setting other than full blast, and will blacken your pots. If you are just using the stove to boil water, Kerosene will work, but I recommend sticking to White Gas if you can.

We have not tried Unleaded in it.

I purchased this a few months ago after the power at home went out for 6 hours and I could not heat up any dinner. My thought was you always have some unleaded gas around the house (in your car or for the boat).

I forgot about it until we had the 6.1 earthquake Sunday here in Hawaii - I opened the box, found some unleaded gas - filled it up, pumped the tank up a few stokes, and lit the burner - hot coffee in no time. This burns very hot and heated a tea kettle of water in about 5 minutes - burns clean with no soot or smoke.

I'd highly recommend one for your emergency kit - you never know who long the power might be out.

This was a great piece that we were actually issued prior to leaving for A-Stan, but I would buy one if I had to go back or go to another lovely 3rd world country. The brass line is easily swapped to use JP8, which is all we had. A great work around for the "warming gel" is simply to use hand sanitizer. The alcohol is the key ingredient and the gel form keeps it burning until the unit is properly heated. Small, lightweight and easily packed along with a plastic water bottle or two of fuel make a GREAT morale boost when (yes I know instant sucks but...) all you have is instant coffee and it's in the high 20's at night and the sun won't come out fast enough while your freezing your A** off while standing post. Definitely recommend also to cook Ramen in a canteen cup or the newer cups issued with the 32oz Nalgene bottles. AWESOME PRODUCT! If your significant other, family or friend is deploying to a small COP or OP then I would definitely recommend buying a cooking kit including camping utensils or just mismatched metal utensils.

I was skeptical since the feel of the product is uber important... I read the reviews, and we love the feel. We washed it after receiving it, and it is a soft cotton. At times, it almost feels like the softest pair of blue jeans you own. The price was right. I cannot stand buying online and having to pay return shipping and not getting my initial shipping back et cetera. So, thank God it worked; that's why Zappos is doing so well! Color: good. I still need to find big back pillows like the ones in the pic. Plus, the reviewer who told me about the ties inside - spot on! So, I sewed them in right away.

After using a Villa Ware 4-square for the past seven years (since I opened my B&B) in conjunction with an ancient Vitantonio 2-square (when I have a "full house" and need several waffles fresh and ready at the same time), the old Villa Ware finally bit the dust. Note: The "ancient" Vitantonio is still going strong!! Obviously, waffle makers in my kitchen get a LOT of action, so I set out to find the "perfect" one. I did all my research -- I read all the reviews; I consulted Consumer Reports; I talked with fellow B&B owners. I decided on the Chef's Choice with the $180 price tag -- not the MOST expensive waffler, but close. (I think the Kitchen Aid Pro takes the honors in that department.) I have been trying it out for the past week and have yet to be satisfied with the results. The "thin" part of the waffle (not the "ridge," in other words) is totally flat -- like tortilla-flat -- and, therefore, becomes extremely crunchy. I have a warming drawer to hold my breakfast items until my guests arrive at the table, and these waffles become downright hard. I don't know about you, but I want my waffles to have a crispy (not rock-hard) exterior and a soft (mmm-good) interior -- which is the way the description of this waffle iron reads. Not so, thank you. I've tried a number of my guests' favorite recipes (Maple Pecan Waffles, Honey-Yogurt Waffles, Yeast Waffles, plain waffles, etc.)and they've all turned out the same -- crispy critters! If this waffler had cost $80 instead of $180, I might be tempted to just continue experimenting with it and try to get used to the texture. However, that's not the case. And, even in my semi-professional kitchen/world, that's a lot of money to spend on a waffle iron that doesn't make me happy! There are also issues with the amount of batter to use, run-over and batter not reaching the outer corners of the grids. The only way I'm giving this item two stars is that it IS fast and it IS totally non-stick. With all these things considered, I'm going back to the Villa Ware (I just wish Vitantonio was still in business!!) -- or I MIGHT try the Cuisinart; I'll let you know!!

This is the best waffle iron out there! We did our research which included reading all sorts of opinions (Amazon, Cooks Illustrated, epinions, consumersearch...) and manufacturer's specifications. We tried several based on the positive evaluations including `high end' brands, but returned them because we found them all to be poorly made and/or to make terrible waffles. Most brands are clearly trying to hit a price point which forces them to skimp on quality (poor non-stick surfaces, bad construction or heat unevenly).

Although we only wanted a waffle iron for our family to be used once every couple weeks, we wanted a quality appliance which would give us evenly cooked waffles and last a good many years.

We finally settled on the Chef's Choice M850 model from Edgecraft and are very happy with it. While the price is toward the top end of the range for waffle irons, based on our experience you get what you pay for - in this case, a very well made waffle iron and great waffles.

We had the best results with the brownness control set at 2 �.

Positive points:

- Excellent solid construction
- Excellent non-stick surface
- Very easy to clean
- Flexible controls: time, crispness and brownness
- Digital count-down timer starts automatically
- Fast heat-up and fast cooking
- Even cooking and browning across the whole surface
- Constructed for relatively thin waffles (perfect in my opinion since we are talking about waffles here and not thick pancakes)
- MADE IN USA!

Constructive Criticism:

- There is a shrill beep tone which tells you when it gets plugged in, when it's ready to bake and when your waffles are done. I am annoyed by all the beeping in the kitchen these days. To be fair, most waffle irons have beep tones now. (I found a way to eliminate it)

I love this waffle maker. I also have the Cuisinart waffle maker which I use at the same time when making waffles for the whole family. The Cuisinart makes soggy waffles in double the amount of time. Chef's Choice is much, much better.

UPDATE:

I had to change my rating! It makes great waffles but it is only nonstick for about six uses! Now I have to pry the waffles off the iron while trying not to scrape the surface. I spray tons of oil on it each time I add the batter too. Now its to the point that the waffles wont come off period, I guess I can't use it anymore.

Waste of money.

This is a great tablecloth! It absolutely resists water, as advertised. Milk and stew spilled on it blot right off, leaving no stain at all. It was time consuming to iron, and I haven't washed it yet, but I would buy this tablecloth again. Note; I purchased the taupe color, it appears much more gold in person, but will do very nicely for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any other time of year or holiday.

This tablecloth is exactly as advertised. Looks just like the picture, and is nice and spill proof. Water beads up on it so you have a little time to capture spills. It's not plastic, so liquids will eventually soak in, but it's great. Of course, this makes things like ironing it a bit more difficult. After getting it out of the package, it had some solid wrinkles from the folding job. Even after washing it, those wrinkles didn't budge. Ironing was a little tough since water doesn't penetrate as easily, but eventually they all came out. And now it looks great! So if you're OCD about wrinkles like i am, just be prepared to work at the iron for a little bit. otherwise though, it's a great deal.

I was very disappointed when I received this in the mail. I ordered the green tablecloth. On arrival, it looked like a cheaper looking fabric. It was also incredibly wrinkly. I washed it immediately. As soon as I pulled it out from the wash on a gentle cycle, the hem had come completely apart. It still had a ton of wrinkles. There were stray strings hanging off of it.

I'm returning it but I'm not looking forward to it because this product doesn't offer free shipping on returns. Now I'm going to have to pay for the shipping :( I wouldn't risk it for this product. You'd find better luck at Ross or Target.

I purchased this cookware set about 1 year ago. My husband and I are both big cookers, eating in at least 6 days per week. I tried one of the stainless skillets first and was very disappointed at how everything we cooked stuck and left stains. Ended up purchasing this set and have been very pleased. Nothing sticks, very easy and quick to wash up. Coulding be happier. The set is very sturdy and I anticipate this being the last set of cookware I will need to purchase.

*Update*
I have now had the set for almost 1 year. The cookware still looks almost new. Food does not stick, there are no scratches in the non-stick surface for food and bacteria to cling to. The anodized finish on the outside remains a dark matte finish. I highly recommend this set of cookware!

Now we have used this set for about three years! One small dark stain on the bottom of the skillet I use the most. Still looks great. Finish is still in great condition. Couldn't be happier.

The interior of the pans is NOT anodized aluminum, but "Quantanium". It's an excellent non-stick surface, and so far my set works fine. However, if you're concerned about overheated Teflon and the chemicals being released into your food, you'll have to pay more to get a real anodized aluminum set.

Quantanium is not safe over 500 degrees F. It does contain PTFE, the same chemical in Teflon, which is potentially carcinogenic. Fumes from cooking are harmful to animals. And lastly, the non-stick layer is very thin, and will eventually come of. I bought my set thinking I was getting hard-anodized aluminum for a steal, but it seems you DO have to ante up for Calphalon or a more expensive brand to get the real stuff.

I bought this set to replace my first set of cookware. These pots cook really fast so you have to be careful not to use too much heat. The only thing I don't like is that the lit handles get hot too and if you are boiling something with the lid on water usually spills. Other than that I can't complain. These pots are sooooooo easy to clean. Nothing sticks to them.

This is a great portable grill that you can put in your trunk or the back of your SUV. Runs on 16.4 oz propane, just like a camp stove.

Tested it out tonight; cooked 2 steaks perfectly on medium heat. Yes, the heat on this one is adjustable. Even has a drip pan! Heavy duty construction, a thermometer, and fold out side shelves.

I hate to say it, but since buying the Q-120 I now use my old grill more than ever..... because the Q-120 sits just right on it's side table. I literally have not used my big grill to cook with once since I got the 120. I read all the reviews on it and the Q-100, and was still hesitant to spend the money on a portable grill, and even more undecided between the 100 and 120. Boy was I ever suprised at how well it cooks. It has no problem searing perfect lines, and retains enough heat to flip the meat onto the same spot and still get great searing. The grating has built in burner protection from dripping grease, and so far I haven't had a single problem with flare-ups. The grating itself is very heavy porcelain-enameled cast iron, and looks like it will last for many years. The body of the grill is cast aluminum, and also seems very well made. The burner is stainless steel, lit by an electronic ignition powered by a AAA battery. The grill is very stable on it's feet, even with the lid open. The only time it's not as stable is when you are cleaning it with the grating out, but it's still not a problem. You may have to adjust your cooking technique a little because the grill cooks pretty quickly compared to the grills i've used before, but it's not a problem, and i've yet to cook anything on mine that wasn't good. I find it so much easier to cook on with good results that it is now my primary grill, cooking for a family of four. I have tried many new recipies since getting this grill because it does so well, and am planning to get the Q-320 later for a larger permanent location grill. If you regularly cook for more than four people, you will need a bigger grill than the 120, but the occasional meal for 5 or 6 is not a problem if you are careful. The easily usable grating size is 12" X 16" although it is probably roughly a half inch or so bigger all the way around.

If I had to find a con, I would say that the inside surface of the body could be smoother in places. There are a few spots on mine that will tear paper towels if I'm not careful when I'm cleaning it off. Yeah I know that's minor and I probably can fix it in a few minutes with some sandpaper, but that's all I find wrong with this thing. If you clean it while it's still warm you can wipe most of the grease right off, and the catch pan system works great. I usually line my pan with foil, and just throw it away when done.

As far as the Q-120 vs the Q-100 goes, I would buy the 120 over the 100 again. I think the taller lid with the thermometer is very nice compared to the 100, and the side tables and electronic ignition are just icing on the cake. The tool hooks on the side tables are great to hang stuff on, but your tools will hang below the feet of the grill, so they will need to be near the edge of what ever the grill is sitting on if it's wide like a tailgate or something. The grill is not cheap, but it's NOT CHEAP, and I would say it's a great value because of it's quality. Also, you are supporting an American company. To me it's worth the extra money over the cheaper portable grills out there.

EDIT to add: I have read many reviews of the weber Q series having regulator issues with refillable propane tanks. I am using mine with a 20lb bottle with no issues at all. I can hook the bottle up, open both valves, and light the grill immediatly, so I am assuming that any issues they may have had are resolved now. I have a 4.25lb bottle on the way and will test throughly with it also, so if I have any issues with it I will update this.

If it were possible to fall in love with a grill then I am in love. The Weber Q120 Portable Gas Grill exceeds all of my expectations and the Weber Rolling Cart that I ordered to go with it is the perfect companion for it. I have owned many grills in my life since I am 67 years old but this grill is by far the best one I have ever had. I did quite a bit of research on Amazon and other sites before making the decision to buy this one. I had decided that I didn't want a large grill with multiple burners this time and didn't want to have to deal with the big propane tanks since I would only be grilling for 1 to 4 people at a time. I would be storing it in the garage and wanted to be able to easily wheel it out when using it and then wheel it back inside when finished. The grill did require some assembly that took maybe 20 minutes to complete but the Rolling Cart came totally assembled and only required unfolding. I was impressed from the beginning with the heft and quality of the materials used to construct this grill and how well it fit together. I ordered the Q120 model because it has two fold out shelves, a thermometer and an electric starter that the Q100 doesn't have. The little extra cost for the Q120 is worth it. The Q 100 and Q120 will both fit securely on the Weber Rolling Cart so you don't have to mess with having to rig up a table to set the grill and your supplies on. The small canister tanks are very convenient to deal with and the electric starter on the Q120 lights up the grill on the first touch every time. The cooking grate is very heavy, makes great grill marks and cleans easily with a wire brush. I have had this grill for about two weeks now, have used it six times and everything has turned out perfectly with it. Its hard to complain about something THIS inexpensive. I was actually thinking that it was going to be cheap and tacky looking, but was completely and happily surprised at how great it was. Super easy to put together... in fact it took me longer to take it out of the box and plastic wrap then it did to put it together. I absolutely love the warm tones of the wood. I was also concerned it might be two small to actually be useful, but I was wrong again. It was a perfect fit for my bay window. I can put my fruit bowl or vase of flowers in the center and have enough room for two people to put a plate and glass/cup.

I love this table set. It was a little tricky to set up, but it wasn't impossible. Just make sure you have some tools available to help...an allen wrench would be good. Otherwise, I've been using it for about 5 months and it is still in good condition and looks great too.

When I learned to decorate cakes over 10 years ago, I learned using Wilton. I love Wilton, I'm a big advocate for all things Wilton. Until now. I am officially an Americolor convert. These colors are so amazingly vibrant! And using them to make paint (with clear vanilla), to paint on fondant and gumpaste is a TREAT. They are some much smoother and easier to use and the colors are so brilliant I doubt I will ever buy Wilton color again. I still love many, many things Wilton - but for color I'm hooked on Americolor!

So there I was, stirring my mixed drinks when clearly the instructions called for them to be shaken, not stirred. I didn't know what I was missing until this beauty arrived and I haven't stopped shaking since. Well that might be because it's a bit cold in here, but still, I love this thing and can't stop making drinks. I'm a bit drunk now and maybe I should slow down but I got so many recipes I want to try. They all taste so good now. Well that might be because I'm drunk. Get this, you won't be disappointed.
