I installed 4 of these speakers in my 2011 Ford Ranger Single cab about a week ago and these blow any 6x8 speakers i have ever heard away with just the stock AM/FM radio! After a couple of days i upgraded with a Kenwood Deck givin to me by a friend and the speakers sound great with just 22w RMS. The highs and mids are crisp and clear and the lows sound punchy and loud with almost no distortion with the volume loud, so loud in fact, a couple of my friends asked where the sub was in my truck! I will be hooking these up with an amp in a couple of weeks and maybe add a sub but for now these far exceeded my expectations at just 89 bucks.

I bought 2 pairs to replace all my inside speakers. I ran them off a jvc head unit and whenever a bass hit the vocals would instantly distort. I then bought an amp to run the inside speakers off of and it solved nothing but I could make the crossover cut out the low frequencies so the vocals were clear at mid volume.
Come to find out a day after I installed them the back 2 speakers sounded funny regardless of what I did. So I took them out only to find out they were defective. The whole thing feels cheap like toy from mcdonalds honestly. I bought 2 pairs of pioneers out of my local junkyard that pushed about the same amount of watts and they actually hit harder, play louder, and sound more crisp than these overpriced paper weights. Rockford fosgate has made me never want to purchase anything with their name on it, not even an amp kit fuse holder. I am now a Kenwood and pioneer customer.
